Animals make decision so that they can survive themselves .
.A lion or tiger make a fix target to catch,it is decision, cattle can understand if they don't run there is the possibility to be eaten, also a decision.
Cock gives the sound kkkoookk kooo koooo at very morning time and regularly he does this,a decision.
some animals(eg:cat) steal food from different houses when scarcity of food,if they couldn't make decision then how it decided to steal food?

so if you think ,you will also find out how every animal makes their decision at different cases although never like Human but don't consider their decision makings as silly matter.

Animals can certainly appear to make decisions, however some might say their actions are based purely on instinct, i.e. they do not think about what they are going to do, but just respond automatically to stimuli.

However, the fact that animals can learn from experience, and alter their behaviour according to whether a particular action in a particular circumstance brough reward or punishment suggests that some thinking is going on and that decisions are being made. Even flatworms can learn to navigate through a maze to get a food reward!

Animals are to be admired for the decisions they make in everyday life their decisions literally mean the difference between living and dyeing in most cases,i think they are the best decision makers because their decisions are made with the brain and instinct and doesn't involve the heart, they know when to fight or back off, they could give lessons in camouflage, they protect their young, these are all intelligent decisions,a lot of people i know dont have these thinking skills or dont know how to use them

No, they cannot... They pretty 'sharp' because they can fend for themselves better than some humans... They do have great instinct for their daily lives... They all go by instinct...That is why some animals has been abused, because if they can make some decisions, they will not go to some people who may want them for a certain period of time and hurt them when these people does not want to care for them anymore......

Yes,animals can make basic instinctual decisions. For instance, owner --"come Rover" ! Rover-- " should I obey,or run around the neighborhood first"? My cat-- "moms getting dressed,I'll follow her around,if she puts the shoes on,I;m hiding, she might want to take me,I'm not going"! --My cat always does this, since her first,in the carrier, and to the vet visit. I call this decisions.

I think animals make decisions everyday. They have to decide what they are going to eat, what they are going to do if they are attacked by another animal. There are so many things they must think about on a daily basis.

Just look at a dog.... it must decide if it is going to jump on your kitchen table and eat your dinner when you are not looking!

Yes they can. I have seen many animals making decisions on their own. There have been innumerable events in history that display the remarkable capability of animals to make their own decisions. I feel that animal decisions also sometimes depend upon instinct.
