How much Snow do you have and where do you live?Matter91 - 8 Answers
I live in south-central Wisconsin and we had snow yesterday, the first since sometime in January. It amounted to only a couple inches, but it also came with 30 mph north winds, so it was white-out conditions yesterday driving home from work. It also snowed on top of a bit of ice, so it was even more exciting driving on the Interstate. I could actually feel the car being blown around by the wind and being pushed sideways across icy patches.
I can't find current snow totals for my region, but I know they're far below normal. I do know if we don't have some kind of precipitation sometime soon, the farmers will have a difficult season. I'd like to have a rainy spell here before anyone needs to get in the fields for planting.
I live in Illinois, maybe an hour and a half south of Chicago. We had snow yesterday. For a while the wind picked up and I thought we might have a pretty good snowstorm. Then as quick as it started, it stopped. All totaled I don't think we got half an inch.
So far this winter we have had less snow than usual. I can only recall one day when I had to clean snow off my car in the morning. I am pretty happy but my grandkids are desperate to go toboggan riding. I'm sure they'll get what they wish for before the winter is over.
We have about 3 inches which fell a week ago and has not melted as the temperatures have stayed freezing or below. I am in England. There is a lot of balck ice on the pavements (sidewalks) and roads.
There are snowdrops trying to push up through the icy crystals.
Last year we had a lot deeper snow and many more days of it actually snowing.
Temperatures here (February 2012) are apparently matching and lower than those at the North Pole.
I know you like animals Matter91 so here are some cold horses.
You have some cute fuzzies there.
I live in Oklahoma and we have had forty-five minutes of snow this whole winter. Most of the time, our kids have been in t-shirts and shorts playing outside. The bugs this summer are going to be horrible!
This has been one of the weirdest winters ever. There is supposed to be hope though. A cold front system is coming through this weekend and we should get a few more minutes of snow with it.
I live in California and we are very worried, too. It has not snowed much in the Sierra Nevada and that is where we get our water for the rest of the year. I am worried that our water supply will be cut off in the summer. I was not aware that snow had not been falling in Canada, either....
I live in Puerto Rico. We barely get hailstorms. The coldest it has been here is 55 or so, in the higher areas.

I live in central NC and have had none this year. Temperatures are supposed to get into single digits tonight, but no precipitation....
Nobody else answered - they all packed their suitcases and should show up at Crazy Gata's house any moment now....
