Do you care about the wind direction?

Do you care, or pay attention to which way the wind is blowing. If so, why?

The direction of the wind can be a very important thing for people depending on what they do and where they live. The wind direction is emphasised a lot during the weather report in my country because this determines how much dust will be in the air circulation. The land's contour plays a big role in determining the speed and direction of the wind.

I like to know about the wind direction due to this reason and also on occasions when I go fishing. When fishing, speed and direction of the wind can help me determine whether the sea will be calm or rough.

I don't care too much which way the wind blows. In gale force winds then I might because it means the neighbors inflatable wading pool might blow into our yard, so I keep a special look-out then depending on the wind direction. Other than stuff belonging to other people blowing into our yard and having to tote it back to where it belongs, wind direction never bothers me.

Depends on what I am doing. If I am flying a small plane, wind direction makes a huge difference, especially during take offs and landings. If I'm driving down I-75 in Colorado with strong crosswinds (east to west or west to east) with a ladder on my truck, etc. Even your gas mileage can be strongly affected by whether you have a strong headwind or tailwind.

Wind direction usually is constant given the time of the day and season. if you live near a large body of water, such as the ocean or a delta or a lake, the wind will blow either towards or away from the water in the morning and the opposite direction at night as the water and land heat up/cool down at different rates.

Not really because I feel that the wind does not bother me as much. It does not seem to cause stress for me than how it does for some people.I feel that the wind cools me down on extremely hot days. More than ever, I feel that it relaxes me more than if the wind is not blowing.

I live a few miles from a cookie factory, and in the other direction is the city dump. I really care a lot about which direction the wind blows! When I go outside in the morning, it either smells like trash or fresh baked cookies.

Yes, the wind has an awesome and interesting role in the theatre of weather. It can be entertaining, inconvenient and irritating, or much welcome at times. It plays well with the sun, the rain, the clouds, and the cold and heat.
