Do you believe in extra-terrestrials?Execfo34 - 10 Answers
I am not sure that I have any evidence to provide but I do think that there are living organisms on other planets. As others have said the universe is huge and the production of life although not a frequent event has been replicated to some extent in the lab and I think that the conditions that were seen on early earth are likely to have been present on other planets. One thing that I cannot say though is how intelligent these being might be. The earth was not around from the start of the universe so if another planet was around several billion years earlier and if live evolved at the same or a faster rate than here on earth then there may be a super intelligent species out there. Equally the reverse could be true and there could be planets out there where life has just started, personally I like to think that both of them are out there, kind of like in Stargate although not to the same extent of course as there people were spread throughout by a more powerful species and I see know reasoning to believe that this has happened.
Do I believe that there are any on earth, no I don't I mean unless faster than light travel is actually possible then I see it as very unlikely that we have ever or possibly will ever be visited by extra-terrestrials.
I think through simple logic and/or math alone we would be foolish and naive to think that life on earth is the only life in the solar system.
When you consider the size of the universe there are probably life forms all over.
Some planets may be at the "Dinosaur" stage while others may be well past us, for some this may mean space travel but for others it may mean destruction of the most intelligent species simply because they were too successful (a fate scientists fear will destroy humans unless we start dealing with our population growth and consumerism in general.
Perhaps some lifeforms are complete beings only inches tall, maybe they have come in their space ships at night - being too small for us to detect. Who knows?
I think that is the thing of it all - who knows? Nobody does - or if they do - they are not telling - its one of those things, if we never find other life forms we cannot be sure it does not exist, we can only know that it does exist if we find it.
Of course...I met one when I was 17 on a hot June summer night.
I was coming home from a date with my now husband. He saw me to the door and went back in the car and went on his way. It was a beautiful summer night. I just felt something there and looked on the side of our house and got a little scared but not much. I went to the porch, opened the front door and went inside.
Something told me to look through the peep hole and I did. I saw an alien that looked like the ones they always show with the big whitish head and big eyes looking back at me through the peep hole. I felt that he could come through the door but he didn't. He just tipped his head back and forth while looking back at me and I wasn't scared anymore.
I know there are many other species of life on other planets. There are so many here I am still discovering so there has to be out there too. We are not alone....lol! I love it!
I, also think we are not necessarily alone in the universe. (I don't know if there is a Creator, but even our own scientists have created artificial life forms.)
Therefore, I can accept that with billions of planets in each galactic cluster to experiment with (I am talking about random chance, not a person experimenting with life), we may have been a happy accident. There may be other planets that also had the same (but different) type of happy accident.
I just hope that if there are other persons out there, we can get along with them better than we get along with each other. It would truly be a shame to find out we have "brothers and sisters" out there and we can't stand each other!
There simply is no evidence that there is any life in the universe. However consider the statistics. There are billions of billions of stars and statistics released recenty say there probably are at least two planets for each star.
So with billions of billions of planets out there the chances of only one of them having life is exteremly remote. With the distances between stars being so vast, unless we come up with a way of travelling faster than light or using worm holes, it's very unlikely that any of the potential alien species will ever find us though!
While I'm not sure if extraterrestrials are flying around the planet in little flying saucers, I am quite sure that there must be some other lifeforms out in the universe. Hopefully, they will one day be within our reach, as our technology and travel abilities improve. who knows, maybe we are all were ready within their reach, maybe they were even ones who put us here in the first place....
I know that we can't be alone in all the cosmos but I can't provide proof of how I know that. I do find it strange that so very many believe and yet the proof is so very elusive. It almost makes one want to believe in the conspiracy theories that dot our little planet from end to end. I do not however believe there is a conspiracy but there may have been some judicious planning....
I dont believe in Aliens no.. As in little green men from other planets. I do think there might be other life other there MAYBE.. but with how humans are, id say there would be more evidence of them if they did and we would go out looking for them. Anything unusual and the government is straight onto it....
While I do not know/believe 100% that there are extra-terrestrials, I believe in the possibility of their existence since man does not know everything about everything. We simply do not have that knowledge and cannot therefore oppose or propose such a notion....
Yes I do because it's hard to believe that out of the whole universe, only earth is able to attain life....
