What happened to the dinosaurs?Pirada95 - 6 Answers
The most widely accepted scientific view is that the dinosaurs perished due to an asteroid impact around 65 million years ago at the end of the Cretaceous period. It is estimated that 75% of all species became extinct due to this event. The asteroid impact theory was popularised by Luis and Walter Alvarez who discovered a thin layer of the rare element iridium within the ground at the Cretaceous-Tertiary boundary. As iridium is very rare on Earth but a common component in asteroids, its presence indicates an extra-terrestrial origin. Furthermore, the discovery of a crater 180km long off the Yucatan coast in Mexico, points to the probable impact point.
The dinosaurs are thought to have died as a result of multiple effects of the asteroid strike, such effects include tsunamis, forest fires, and a reduction in global temperatures from dust in the atmosphere blocking out light and heat from the sun.
It is thought that modern day birds may have evolved from dinosaur species who survived this extinction event, the two groups having several unique anatomical features in common.
A cataclysmic event, such as a meteor strike or a multi meteor strike upon the earth wiped out the dinosaurs over 65 million years ago. It most likely occurred during an end time that the earth and its inhabitants periodically experience every 26,000 years. The earth is like a laboratory where God conducts His experiments. He will create a life form, nurture it and observe its evolution. Once the creation becomes a pain in the butt, God destroys it and creates something new. It's like building with Lego....
The dinosaurs were wiped out by a cataclysmic event about 65.5 million years ago. This event is believed to be either an asteroid impact, heavy volcanic activity, or both. While a lot of biological life survived these events, the dinosaurs were completely destroyed.
The only remainder of the dinosaurs are birds, which are today believed to have evolved from dinosaurs, and survived until modern times.
The dinosaurs are extinct. Scientists think that they were unable to adjust to the changes that came about from a large meteor strike. It made the Earth into a much more difficult place to survive. That is the theory. The small mammals were able to survive.
Actually birds are thought to be descended from dinosaurs. So in a way maybe the dinosaurs survived and just changed to fit the new environment.
No one really knows. But according to scientists, which I believe is a theory is that a meteor fell from the sky and wiped out all the dinosaurs on land and water. I believe though that God did get rid of the dinosaurs because they would eat all mankind if they were alive today....
Due to an event or series of events, the conditions dinosaurs needed to live changed. Probably this happened in a short time span....
