The square root of 4 is: 2

There are three ways to find this answer:

1) Using the internet

2) Using a hand held calculator

3) Doing it by hand

1 - Go to this website:

http://squarerootcalculator.net/

Plug in any number that you want and it will give you the square root of that number.

2 - Try to find a hand held calculator and look for the square root button. Please see the picture below to see how the square root symbol looks like. All you have to do is type in a number on the calculator and press the square root button, the calculator should give you an answer.

3 - If you want to calculate the square root by hand without a calculator, check out this very good website on how to do it:

I hope this helps.

Since a square root is one of two equal factors of a number; for example, the square root of 81 is 9 because 9 X 9, or 9 2 , = 81

Your answer is 2

because 2 x 2 = 4
