The square root of 36 is: 6

There are three ways to find this answer:

1) Using the internet

2) Using a hand held calculator

3) Doing it by hand

1 - Go to this website:

http://squarerootcalculator.net/

Plug in any number that you want and it will give you the square root of that number.

2 - Try to find a hand held calculator and look for the square root button. Please see the picture below to see how the square root symbol looks like. All you have to do is type in a number on the calculator and press the square root button, the calculator should give you an answer.

3 - If you want to calculate the square root by hand without a calculator, check out this very good website on how to do it:

I hope this helps.

Square stands for two.

Square roots are two similar factors of any number i.e when these identical numbers are multiplied, their product would be the given number.

Solution:

36 divided by 2 = 18

18 divided by 2 = 9

9 divided by 3 = 3

3 divided by 3 = 1

while dividing I used 2 twice

while dividing I used 3 twice

open a bracket

(2 x 2)(3 x 3)

pick one of the numbers from each brackets and multiply them together

2 x 3 = 6

so

6 x 6 = 36

When looking at the square root of a number, just ask yourself "What number when multiplied by itself equals 100" if you dont know right off the back, then pick one and see how close you are. say i picked 8, well 8*8 = 64, well thats too high, so i have to pick a lower number... so 7, well 7*7 = 49, still too high, so 6, 6*6 = 36, therefore the square root of 36 is 6

...The square root of 36 is not just six. Every square root has a positive, as well as a negative root. The full answer would be Plus, or minus 6. (+6; -6)
