Oh i hope you listened to the only one who was actually correct :) ... you have to follow the order of operations! PEMDAS ( parenthesis/exponents/ multiply/divide/add/then subtract.
15 - 2^3 / 4 , first do 2^3 = 2*2*2 = 8.... then divide, 8 / 4 = 2.... lastly subtract 15 - 2 = 13.
The answer is totally 13
Is it written (15-2)3 / 4 or is the third power above the 2. Ifthe power number is above a single number, that number is multiplied three times that subtracted. The answer could be
15 - 2x2x2 = 7 Divided by 4 equals 1-3/4 or 1.75.
15 minus 2 to the 3rd power divided by 4
15 - ( 2 to the 3rd power ) divided by 4
15 - ( 2x2x2 ) / 4 = ?
(15 - 8) / 4 = ?
7 / 4 = 1.75
15 minus 2 to the 3rd power divided 4
I believe you're asking for 15 - 2^3/4
This equals 15 -8/4 = 15 - 2 = 13
