my question for members is : how many square miles is 1 acre?, please answer it thanks 4 all
As a previous post stated - an acre is equal to 0.00156 square miles - this is because, traditionally a square mile is equal to 640 acres.
There were a number of different measures of an acre internationally - most significantly the imperial acre, the US survey acre, and the international acre. Standardisation has resulted in the adoption of the traditional measure:
The International acre is equal to - 4046.86 sq mtrs, or, 0.00156 sq mile
Just remember that there are 640 acres in 1 square mile. So if you need to work out how many square miles are in 1 acre just divide 1 by 640:
1/640 = 0.0015625
So 1 acre is the same as 0.0015625 square miles.
From the math lesson that I got in elementary school, one acre is equal to 0.0015625 sq miles.
