For me, it depends on the situation.

I think usually people tend to prefer even numbers to odd, just as they tend to prefer whole numbers to fractions and mixed numbers, round numbers to other whole numebrs(here I mean round as in integer ending with 0 or even 5).

Maybe because there is a certain symmetry in even numbers. Take any even number, and you can divide it into two equal parts which are themselves whole numbers (so it seems the preference for even numbers is in fact related to the preference for whole numbers).

But if you're asked to select a number (in some range) as part of a magic trick or some game or something, you might select an odd rather than an even one. This may be because odd numbers are more "special" in a way (exactly because of their asymmetry). Some people may even choose prime numbers, specifically (I do, usually).

Think about this clearly. What's the first number (numero uno of course). Is that odd or what? If we start with an odd number, chances are good there will be more odd than even numbers by the time we stop, because the odds got the jump on the evens. The number two had to wait and let the number one go first. The odds will probably win, so when betting, be an odd fellow.

...Hey Sandsc39 I totally feel the same way! :D:D:D

I like ODD numbers better than even ones but I don't like 5 or its multiples. You're the first person who I've heard say that.

Most people prefer even numbers but like 5 and its multiples when it comes to the odd ones.

My favorite numbers are 3, 7 and 13.

My favorite numbers are 4 and 7. I prefer even numbers...with the exception of 7, and maybe 5, odd numbers just seem "evil" to me. Sounds stupid, but it's true for me. Also, on the even side, 6 is quite (perhaps the most) evil, as well, for obvious reasons. Although the number I like the least is 3.

...I like even numbers. They come in pairs and that sounds good to me! Also, my favorite number is 8.
