Who took care of the first baby ever born?

Clearly a which came first question 'the chicken or the egg'. Never the less, what's your theory?

I personally believe that God created the earth and the first people; I'm not a literal believer of every word of the Genesis creation story, but I do believe that people were made to have a relationship with God, separate and different from the animals.

As such, since the first people - whom we can call Adam and Eve, if we wish - were made from the dust as adults, they evidently took care of their own babies.

For those who believe in evolution (whether or not God was involved), presumably there was a gradual development of humans from some related species, who - like apes and other similar animals - take care of their own babies without any problem. So the earliest humans, by evolutionary theory, would be so similar to their predecessors that the care of infants would be something that happened naturally.

As for the first animals, if evolutionary theory holds, then they themselves evolved from some other species, over billions of years - so the care of the young would also gradually develop. Survival of the fittest is a principle that holds whether or not one believes in atheistic evolution; it's clear that if babies were cared for, they would survive, and if they were not cared for, they would die. Thus the 'caring' gene (or whatever it is) would be continued forward.

If you believe in evolution, whether or not instigated by a higher power:

"Just to settle it once and for all: Which came first the Chicken or the Egg? The Egg -- laid by a bird that was not a Chicken."

That quote is by Neil deGrasse Tyson, an American astrophysicist, cosmologist, author, and science communicator. If you apply that same concept, the first baby (and by your question I presume you mean a human baby) was birthed by something other than a human (neanderthal or the like.)

The concept can really blow your mind!

I guess and believe that God did take care of the first baby ever born. Like the Bible shares how God created man and how a woman was created out of man, its a sign that God was the care taker of the first ever baby born although Adam was made not a baby but someone old enough to take care of him or her self.

The same applies to the chicken and the egg. I personally think that God created the Chicken first and took care of it after which the chicken started to lay the eggs where other chicken came from.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

If you look at scripture the first people on the earth where Adam and Even who where not born but where created from the earth and God put life into them.

Once they ate the forbidden fruit they where removed the garden of Eden and had to work the land and bare children.

Even gave birth to Cane and Able who where to two first children to be born.

Thanks for asking.

From my own personal perspective I believe the Lord Almighty who created man in his own image and likeness was the first parent of the first ever born. The first baby was created in its purest sense but was gifted with the intellect and free will to distinguish the bad from the good, etc.

God created Adam as a fully functioning adult human being from the dust of the Earth. So the first human was already grown and was eternal until he fell from grace by eating of the fruit of the tree of good and evil.
