After the armpit, what is the sweatiest part of the body?

Which body part sweats the most?

A significant amount of athletic clothing is made with extra breath-ability in the armpit and groin areas. For example, when I was in the military, early on, we had sweat wicking t-shirts for physical training (which were kept even after the uniforms were redeveloped) and our sweatpants had a ventilated crotch. Later, when the uniforms were redesigned to be lighter and more weather resistant/protective, the crotch feature was eliminated but the resulting uniform shorts were actually lined and also made of a material that dried very quickly unlike the previous cotton shorts. The newer PT gear is much more user friendly when it comes to the two main sweat areas. Higher end "civilian" athletic gear follows a similar design to deal with the issues of sweat.

The palms of our hands often are the sweatiest parts of our bodies but we hardly notice cause it dries up so fast. We notice that our armpits are so sweaty because they get sweaty and then (because of poor air circulation) the sweat doesn't dry up. This is true for any part of the body that produces heat, gets sweaty, and then can't get rid of the sweat. So to answer your question, the next sweatiest part of the body after armpit... should be the groin. Think of it as the "armpit" of your lower body.

I think the next sweaty part of the body is the groin area. I do not know if this is because it has more sweat glands or because it is usually covered by more than one piece of clothing. After exercises like jogging, I usually sweat a lot around the area. Then of course there is the face. It is also a very sweaty part because it is not covered but still flows with sweat during exercise. At least the armpits and groin areas are usually covered but the face is always in the open.

I'll have to say the feet are the sweatiest part of the body after the armpits. I don't sweat much under my arms but my socks are damp when I take off my shoes. Everyone's feet don't smell bad but everyone's feet do perspire a lot.

Your scalp, hands, and feet have the most sweat glands, even more than your armpits. This sweat tends to evaporate to keep you cool.
