The Czech republic is in Central Europe. The capital is Prague (or Praha) . The Czech republic used to be part of Czechoslovakia until 1993, when the two countries peacefully separated ( also known as the Velvet Revolution) and they became two independent countries ( Czech republic and Slovakia).
