Which one is faster electrical impulse or light?

If a wire is long enough to be wound around the earth 10 times. If a power source and switch were connected at one end of the wire and a light at the other end, the light would turn on at the moment the switch was closed. Now would it take light longer or shorter to travel around the earth? Without using the light bulb for the light. Just using a different very stong light source. Which one will reach around the earth first? The light or the electrical impulse?

Random thoughts on this subject:
If by electricity you mean electric current carried by electron then I would ask
what will move faster a Particle that has a mass or Particle that does not?
Electron has a rest mass of 9.1 ×10^?31 kg
Compare that to Photons (light particles) which has a rest mass of zero.

A bolt of lightening can travel at speeds of 134 thousand miles per hour, where light always travel at speed of 671 million miles per hour. Light is 5000 times faster.

The actual electron moves about 3.3 inches per Hour, but the current moves 130,000 miles per hour.

Do think a bolt of lightning is as fast as the speed of light?
It takes the light of the sun 8 minutes going 168,000 miles per second to reach earth. Now if you had a switch on earth to turn on the light of the sun and you turn this switch on. The light of the sun would come on as soon as the switch was closed. However you wouldn't see the light come on until 8 minutes after the switch was closed do to the distance that the light had to travel just to reach earth. So again which one is faster, light or Bobclo88 impulse?
In what way did scientist find this out?

Although there can be no mass or information that can travel at or more than the speed of light, there are paradoxes in which mass or information appears to travel at or more than the speed of light. These are dependent on the point of observation.

Light. According to Einstein nothing can be faster than light.

The speed of the electricity in a cooper cable without insulation is 96% of the speed of light and can drop down to 66% the speed of light on a coaxial cable.

Wire is not a perfect conductor , so it would be slower , but ive heard of superconductors
used to levitate high speed trains i japan (i believe , japan ,at least)

Technically ,they both travel at the same speed , lightening is almost as fast ,but encounters friction
in our atmosphere, but in space HMM?
