For Jodi, YES, there are some species that still live that remain relativly unchanged from there dinosaur ancestors, most however are fish such as the coelacanth, believed to have been extinct for millions of years and resurfacing (just one) first in 1836 and then several more in 1938 and found to be thriving at 150 to 700 m off the east coast of england in 1991.
