When Will NASA Send a Satellite to the Sun

I read they plan to send a satellite probe no later than 2018 but perhaps with budget cuts that could get delayed. It will go 4 million miles from the suns surface and will have to withstand temperatures of 1,400 degrees Celsius.

Why would NASA send the satellite to the Sun at nighttime?

To avoid the satellite burning up as any Irishman knows.
