Are there any "real" UFO sightings?Panete32 - 6 Answers
I saw one. This happened in Kalamazoo, Michigan, around October 2004. I don't remember the exact date, but it was around 5am.
I had to go to work early that day, and it was a routine drive. Suddenly in the sky, there was a red light, very small, that caught my attention. I looked at it for a short second, and then I looked away because I had assumed that it was an airplane. A few seconds passed, and I looked back up there, and the red light seemed to have grown in size. I thought it was just the airplane approaching towards my direction, so again, I looked away. Then I remembered for some odd reason, I looked at it again for a few short moments, and the redness of the light made me feel very uncomfortable because of its unusual brightness. As I paid more attention to it, I noticed it suddenly grew (in size) very rapidly, going from a star-like size to a moon-like size, then it just grew so big it looked like it was going to cover the entire sky, like a red ball of fire going to blow up. That was when I got really scared, the next thing I remembered seeing is that the "red fireball" suddenly dropped from the sky (before that it was just hanging there). The fall was so rapid, it felt like within a millisecond the fireball would reach the ground. The problem is that if the ball had really fallen, then the direction I was driving would send me right where the ball would fall onto me and my car. So I just pushed so hard on the break and pulled over (luckily no car was behind me) and turned off the ignition. I stopped there, just waiting. I could have made a U-turn and gone home, but the speed of the fall (of the fireball) had me realize there is no way I could drive fast enough to escape. So I just stood still. I remember waiting for a few minutes, every second thinking that I will suddenly hear a loud bang, or some sort of an explosion, and every second wondering if I'd die. I've never been so scared in my life. When after a few minutes, nothing happened, and the red fireball has dropped out of my line of sight, I decided to start my car again and drive to work, and pretend that nothing happened.
Well, nothing did happen, but the event scared the hell out of me.
I don't know if it was a UFO, but if UFO stands for any unidentified flying object, then I'd say that red thing definitely belonged to that family. It's been almost 6 years and I can still remember all the details very vividly, even the feeling of fear at the time. After the event, I have looked at websites and talked to people and nobody reported seeing anything. I did not have a cellphone with me back then, otherwise, I probably would have taken a picture. But then again, I was so scared I probably would not be brave enough to think about taking a picture moments before dying...
This is what happened to me October 9, 2008 as I posted this on my website:
So at around 9pm tonight, I was standing at the front of my house, talking to my mom as I came home, and looking at the stars in the sky. All of a sudden, a seriously bright, like as bright as the moon bright, object came out of the North Western sky, flying quickly across toward the South Eastern sky. It was maybe about 1/5th the size of the moon. There was a tail on this thing---a bright fire-y orange/red(more red) tail. From the ground, it was like 3 inches long. The object flew 3/5ths of the way across the sky with the tail, then all of a sudden the tail disappeared. The bright object continued on it's way, winded up going behind some trees and actually stayed there for a little while--it like zigzaged downward and then disappeared.
So this was a very odd thing I just saw only almost 2 hours ago. It's got me wondering what it was. It definitely can't be a meteor. And it could be a comet, but I haven't found anything that says that they have huge red tails--in fact, I came across a site that said that the particles in a comet tail contain some sort of material that only reflects the color blue and cannot reflect red. So that's odd. I'm gonna keep researching this, because yea, that was just plain old odd.
---so that was my experience a few years ago. I still to this day believe it was a UFO. I do believe there is other life out there.
While the question of UFO's is often a question that has much stigma placed upon it in our current societies, I can say with almost full certainty that they are real. I myself have been very interested in this topic and I have done myriad research in regards to it. For anyone that is looking for raw proof on this subject, I believe that the best place to start would be to visit "www.disclosureproject.org." On this website you will find links to hundreds of credible witness testimonies, mostly comprising of people that have served in the Military or in other Government positions. These are people that we have trusted to perform their duties for our country, and so I think it is only fair that we listen to what they have to say and trust that they are not all making up these experiences. While I agree that if there were only a handful of credible witnesses that have testified than this would not be enough to come to a credible conclusion, but the reality is that there are hundreds. It might sound crazy that this information is out there, but the truth is that when you really take the time to research the UFO subject, you will be astonished at what you will find....
I've witnessed a U.F.O several years ago, my two brothers and I had just finished some remodeling work on their house. They live in the country so the sky is much more clear than in the city areas. We were kind of star gazing as we talked with each other. We all three noticed way up in the sky a light vehicle that shot from our left peripheral in a horizontal path to only disappear out of sight within a few seconds. This U.F.O. was many many miles up in the sky, but the speed was faster than anything that I have ever witnessed.
This does not mean that the U.F.O was being controlled by extra terrestrials, it could have been some kind of military vehicle. None the less it was the only time that I can remember seeing anything like that in my life. I have seen shooting stars before and this was not a shooting star.
A U.F.O. is just an unidentified flying object. It could be a weather balloon, an unusual aircraft or just an optical illusion. I really don't believe in any of the sightings or abductions. If aliens were visiting this planet, I think they would just invade and take over. They would have to be much more advanced than us to travel vast distances. They might just observe us but I think it would be more likely that they would make their presence known....
Betty and Barney Hill not only saw a UFO, but were abducted and examined by the aliens. They had a pretty good case and were even hypnotized to find out more details. This was back in the 60's. Check out their book "The Interrupted Journey"....
