Irriagation is how the farmers get the water to the crops and that can be done many different ways. I lived on 5 acres where we had an Irrigation ditch and an external well and pump to be used to get the water from the well to the ditch. Then once the water is in the ditch you walk down the edge of the ditch and pull out these stoppers and let the water flow through the pipe into the field.

Irrigation is also getting water from a near by creek to water fields. Some farmers also use industerial sprinklers to water the fields.

Also, if you live in California and see the deep water channel from the free way farmers use the water to irrigate there fields.

Irrigation is just a form of watering your fields, trees, corps, and other plants.

Irrigation can mean a few different things. It is an agricultural method of bringing water to crops, often via canals that run through the crop fields. It can also mean to rinse, such as if you have something stuck in your eye, you want to irrigate the eye with plenty of water.

It is a way to water the plant or crops. If you have a rice field and there is no rain you need irrigation to make the plant grow. This is like artificial rain.
