Q: Do HCl and CaCl2 react?

- 1 Answers
hello this my question: do hcl and cacl2 react?, may you answer me please
No they don't because they contain the same kind of anions: Cl .
They do not react as such but if the Hydrochloric acid is hydrated then the CaCl2 (2 is subscript) will dehydrate the Hydrochloric acid to make gaseous HCl
This will form a white crystal
From the Wikipedia Hydrogen Chloride article ...
